Assistant boss wants 28-man squad to make Steve Clarke's job in cutting the numbers as hard as possible.
John Carver insists Scotland’s Euro stars are fit and ready to fly as he challenged them to give Steve Clarke the ultimate final selection headache.
But Carver said: “I think everyone is on target to be fit and ready to go. Obviously they know their bodies, the medical people have been in constant touch with their clubs so I think everybody seems to be fine. “You can tell there’s a real high there. The mood and the spirit is really high. I can tell you from my experience, even driving up I felt different.
“We will discuss it but we will do whatever we think is best for the group and we won’t take a chance. If I’m being honest it is probably better for us if we do have to make that hard decision because then everyone who is here now is in good condition and fit for the tournament.” He said: “He might not feature in the first friendly and he possibly could in the second one but we have to gauge it day by day and see where he is.
