Benidorm fans are only just realising that Ted Lasso icon had starring role in show
The multi-award winning show followed the adventures of holidaymakers and staff at an all-inclusive hotel in Benidorm , Spain over the course of a week each year.
Huge celebs even lined up to play their part in the show, with legendary Hollywood star Joan Collins as Crystal Jennessy-Vass, the CEO of the Solana Hotel Group, and Matthew Kelly as Cyril Babcock. Actor James Lance, perhaps best known for portraying Trent Crimm – a sports journalist from the Independent newspaper – in Apple TV's smash hit Ted Lasso, popped up in the tenth and final series of Benidorm, first broadcast in February 2018.
Shocked by the revelation, users of X, formerly known as Twitter, waded in with their comments. "How have i watched benidorm several times and not noticed until now that james lance is in it," said one person.
