OLMSTED TOWNSHIP, Ohio— Like so many other food and drink establishments across the country, the pandemic really put a damper on fans ofThe neighborhood hotspot is a beloved “third place” to many. The worry O’Malley and Marysiak had? After so many years of slowly building their clientele, they might not survive an extended closure.
O’Malley and Marysiak are formerly married but continue to keep the thriving business going as business partners and buddies with great, upbeat energy and offspring who throw in and work at the watering hole during busy times. “We have two regulars who were next-door neighbors who had never met each other before they came here,” O’Malley said. “That’s the kind of energy we have here and even people who don’t live next door to one another build next-door neighbor-like relationships. It’s an extended family vibe for sure.”Just what you’d expect from a place called Fat Little Buddies .
They also do something we’ve not seen before: they serve their wings on a small bed of tortilla chips.
