Truszkowski said the fact the home was owned by White “created tremendous press attention, which definitely created more interest.” White died this past New Year’s Eve in her Brentwood neighborhood home in Los Angeles at the age of 99 after suffering a stroke six days earlier. Though she had a decades-long career in film and television, White is best known for her roles as Sue Ann Nivens on the “Mary Tyler Moore Show” from 1973 to 1977, and as Rose Nylund on the television series “The Golden Girls” from 1985 to 1992. White died 17 days shy of her 100th birthday.
