Biden has announced a partnership between the U.S. and the European Union to further the global Covid-19 vaccination effort

Biden said the partnership will allow the EU and U.S. “to work more closely together” and that one of its bedrock principals will be committing to “donating, not selling” vaccine doses to less-affluent countries. “Put another way, for every one shot we’ve administered to date in America, we have now committed to do three shots to the rest of the world,” Biden said at the summit.

Biden also urged those assembled Wednesday to make sure they follow through on their vaccine commitments.
