says "justice had been delivered" after an American drone strike killed al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri in Afghanistan.
Biden said Zawahiri was Osama bin Laden's "number two man", that he was "his deputy, at the time of the terrorist attack of 9/11"."Now, justice has been delivered. And this terrorist leader is no more," he said."We make it clear again tonight that, no matter how long it takes, no matter where you hide, if you are a threat to our people, the United States will find you and take you out.
"He had a trail of murder and violence against American citizens, American service members, American diplomats, and American interests."Ayman al-Zawahiri was involved in the 2001 Twin Towers attack in New York which killed almost 3000 people.
