SAN JOSE — A big residential development that could bring hundreds of units to downtown San Jose — including a few affordable apartments — is headed for a crucial city decision.
“We are all working to solve the housing crisis one unit at a time,” said Erik Hayden, Urban Catalyst founder and managing partner. Hayden believes TMBR could help ease those problems. An estimated 14 units, or 5% of the total, would be set aside as affordable housing for “very low-income households,” documents on file with city planners show.
On Wednesday, city planning administrators are scheduled to give final approval to the 272-unit project. The development timeline for TMBR wasn’t immediately known.
