The WA Premier has hit Clive Palmer with fighting words after the billionaire dropped one legal battle with WA. But the court stoush isn’t over yet.
Mr Palmer said his solicitors had offered in writing to withdraw a contempt of court claim against Mr McGowan.However, Mr Palmer’s defamation action is continuing, as is Mr McGowan’s counterclaim.
But Opposition leader Zak Kirkup said the Liberals would not accept support or donations from Mr Palmer. “It’s a serious business in which West Australians get to have their say over who has a better plan for the state. That sure as hell isn’t Clive Palmer.” “WA voters are better to vote for Labor than to vote for someone who just copies the Labor Party and offers no policy or alternative.
