Fish Friday, anyone?
If anywhere does a chippy tea properly, its Blackpool. I don't think I've walked down one of the seaside town's streets without seeing a chippy, or signs pointing me in the direction of one.
The member of staff greeted me with enthusiasm, and quickly took my order of a jumbo sausage and chips. I was charged £5.20 for this, which from sampling other Blackpool chippies, I thought was rather cheap. However, a portion of fish and chips comes in at £8.20, so definitely on the pricier side in my opinion.
I don't know what possessed me to want to eat this meal by the sea, considering the aforementioned look of rain and biting wind, but I found myself traipsing along Talbot Road towards the sea, where there was a glimpse of blue skies.
