Blackpool singer's £16,000 regret as he warns others about botox and fillers
A Blackpool man spent £16,000 on cosmetic procedures as he tried to become famous and was left with nothing but regret.
Although Liam used a licensed practitioner, he says there was never a question about why he wanted so much work. He said: "I got one thing done and realised I could get more done and the nurse just did it because I said I wanted it There was nothing about mental wellbeing. You sit in the chair, get it done and go. That's as easy as it is."
Liam's desire to change the way he looked stemmed from a belief that a new face could see him break into TV, but deep down, there were bigger problems. He made appearances on shows including BodyFixers, Four in a Bed, Judge Rinder, the Xtra Factor, and Extreme Diet Hotel. "Using credit cards and payment plans for it - it has massive implications," Liam, who performs in Blackpool six nights a week, said. People need to think - does it really make you feel more confident when you've got it? Are you getting it done by a real nurse who knows what they are doing with the needles? Is the right aftercare there? And no, I don't think is any aftercare in the current system.
