'You need to be comfortable wearing a bird costume'
Blackpool Zoo are looking to hire a 'team of people' to wear inflatable bird costumes to deter nuisance seagulls.
Bosses state that the seagulls have tried to steal food from visitors as well as from their animal enclosures. As a result, they've come up with a clever way to deter seagulls away from their main visitor dining areas.The new recruits to the Zoo will join their Visitor Services team as a 'Seagull Deterrent'. In the advert, the organisation claims they are looking for people who are visitor focused, friendly, energetic and flexible.
The full job advert reads: "At Blackpool Zoo it goes without saying that we love all animals! And as a seaside resort, Blackpool is not short of seagulls.
