The theme of World Oceans Day 2022 is “Revitalization: collective action for the ocean,” and it is particularly apt given that the pandemic has overtaken all other concerns. Thankfully, we will see the back of Covid-19 but the challenges facing our oceans will not go so quietly. On the other hand, given that we have all been working together, in one way or another, to fight the pandemic, perhaps we will learn that collective action can reap rewards.
