The ever-smiling Connor Hobbs seems to be the happiest, go-lucky guy around, but he admits that he found himself in a “dark, dark place” as a pro. A return to Saskatoon during the pandemic's early days helped save him. yxe hockey NHL WHL
“I make a lot of mistakes,” he is quick to say. “But, luckily, I’ve got a great group of supporting cast in terms of captains on the team and guys who aren’t wearing letters that have been around and have played and are just good men. We have such a good group. In some respects, it’s easy to be a leader on this team but it comes with its challenges, especially when you lose 8-1 Saturday. It’s tough. The way she goes. Maybe that’s a reflection on how life is.

Hobbs says he and his teammates are “absolutely” extra motivated following a lop-sided loss at home to the same Cougars last Saturday and they hope to get back on track this weekend.
