Blues’ X-Factor: Staggs the man to blow open Origin I, says Fittler | mrchrisnico
Kotoni Staggs has been identified by NSW as the man to provide the Blues with their ‘X-factor’, especially with no Latrell Mitchell or Tom Trbojevic to terrorise Queensland on Wednesday night.
NSW coach Brad Fittler nominated his right centre as the Blues player most likely to blow open the game. “When Kotoni busts the line, something normally happens. He has that little bit of speed not everyone has got, which is one of the real reasons we picked him. There are points in us.” Kotoni Staggs recveives his NSW Blues jersey from his uncle Trent and one of his coaches, Aidan Ryan.“I just want to do my job and not go away from the way I play - I want to keep doing what I’ve done in clubland, which is what got me here. Obviously if the game is close I’ll do everything I can to win.”
