Emergency services were called to a home on Canterbury Road near Dibbs Street in Canterbury after a concern for welfare report at 9.30am on Tuesday.
Police entered the unit and found the bodies of the two women, who are yet to be formally identified but are believed to be aged in their 20s.A crime scene was established, which will be examined by specialist forensic police.They have asked anyone with information to call Burwood Police Station on 9745 8499 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
