Breaking: Body discovered during search for missing Blackpool man Bruce Ford
Earlier this week Blackpool Police appealed for the public's help in finding 77-year-old Bruce Ford. He was last seen walking along Drummond Avenue towards Kingscote Park at around 1.20pm on Thursday September 29.
This afternoon Lancashire Constabulary confirmed that a body has been found in the search for Bruce. Although the body has not yet been formally identified officers believe it is Bruce and have informed his family. In an update posted on Twitter Blackpool Police said: "A body has been found in the search for missing Blackpool man Bruce Ford. While the body has yet to be identified, it is believed to be that of Bruce. "The death is not being treated as suspicious. His family have been informed. Our thoughts are with them at this sad time."
