Police searching for a woman who went missing west of Brisbane 18 days ago, have found a body.

The 74-year-old was last seen on December 30, when she wandered away from her family home in Augustine Heights.They were aided by the SES and property owners in Spring Mountain, Springfield Central, Springfield Lakes, Augustine Heights and Brookwater. "Investigators would like to thank the SES, local property owners and the community for their assistance in the extensive search and rescue efforts and for information provided during the search for the woman," a police spokesperson said.
