A body has been found in a wooded area during searches for a missing mum who vanished from a psychiatric care unit in Ayrshire.
Sadly, officers have now confirmed that a body was found in woodland near the Eglington Interchange in the town at around 11am on Saturday. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 11am on Saturday, 8 June, 2024, the body of a woman was found in woodland near to the Eglington Interchange, Irvine. "There is not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal in due course."
