The body of Madison Tam has been found by police after she vanished from a popular Queensland swimming spot on Monday afternoon.
The 18-year-old was swimming with three friends near the notorious Devil's Pool when Queensland Police believe she was sucked into a dangerous underwater current.Madison Tam went missing on Monday.Ms Tam's death has shaken the local community with Cairns MP Michael Healy extending his support to her family and friends.
"It is a tragedy, an absolute tragedy and it would be a terrible time to be going through right now," Mr Healy said.The swimming pool has claimed the lives of at least 17 people since 1959.
