The bodies of an Australian mountaineer and a professional Canadian climber have been found on K2, the world's second-highest peak.
The discovery of their bodies was reported by the Himalayan Times website and confirmed by a source at the K2 base camp."Body of Richard was found at Japanese Camp 1 and the body of Matt from Australia was spotted in ABC," a source told the publication."The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade is providing consular assistance to the family of an Australian man who died during a climbing expedition in northern Pakistan," a statement read.
