Buckley mother Chaithanya 'Swetha' Madhagani's body was discovered dumped in a wheelie bin just days after her husband flew overseas, before he reportedly phoned relatives to provide information about her death.

In a statement given to The Age, a police spokesperson added that authorities believed Ms Madhagani knew her killer, but that they were still working to determine the circumstances around her death. Officers initially established a crime scene in the surrounding area, blocking off the road while they investigated, but later begun examining a second site 82 kilometres away at a residential address in Mirka Way - Point Cook in southwestern Melbourne.

"She was one of the sweetest girls ever. Everyone would want to have Swetha in their lives," the neighbour said.
