The body was found about five hours after a man was reported missing from a capsized boat near Harrisburg's Dock Street Dam.
Harrisburg spokesman Matt Maisel confirmed a body was recovered early Thursday afternoon. Their identity was not immediately able to be confirmed, but the Dauphin County Coroner’s Office said investigators believe the body is the man who was reported missing Thursday morning.
One of the men from the capsized boat was rescued Thursday morning by another boater and survived, Maisel said. His current condition is unknown. The water levels are dangerous at the dam right now, Enterline said, adding that the moving water can make the river tricky to navigate. It’s unclear if the boaters were wearing life jackets or whether their boat may have had mechanical problems that made it impossible for them to avoid the dam. Enterline said a full investigation will be conducted.
