Superintended Thomas Price says raises should make Boerne ISD more competitive with other school districts.

Boerne ISD employees can expect a pay bump for the 2023- 2024 school year, according to a news release.Boerne Independent School District is raising pay for almost all positions in the district, following the lead of a number of San Antonio-area districts.
The district is also increasing contributions to the Teacher Retirement System of Texas' health insurance premiums by $78,000 district-wide Northside ISD, the largest school district in Bexar County and fourth-largest in Texas, recently approved pay raises that averaged 4.6 percent for teachers, nurses, counselors and librarians. The district also approved a one-time retention payment of $1,200 for most employees hired on or before Sept. 1 of this year. Northside ISD has more than 100,000 enrolled students and more than 12,000 employees.
