A Boerne pastor was killed in a two-vehicle crash on I-10 near Louisiana late last week, according to Louisiana State Police.
According to police, Warren Beemer, 52, of Fair Oaks Ranch, was heading east on I-10 in a 2009 Mini Cooper when he neared stopped traffic. Beemer’s vehicle didn’t come to a halt and struck the back of a tractor trailer, authorities said.
Beemer was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, but police said he died from his injuries at the scene. The driver of the tractor trailer also wore a seatbelt and sustained minor injuries. He was taken by EMS to an area hospital for further treatment.Beemer is a pastor at the Healing Place Church in Boerne, as confirmed Sunday by church staff. A celebration of life service is scheduled for April 7th at the Healing Place Church in Boerne.
