MEDINA COUNTY, Ohio - The Medina County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that there is no credibility to the bomb threats called in to several Medina County schools on Nov. 6.
The Medina Police Department stated officers were sent to Medina High School in reference to a bomb threat at approximately 9:20 a.m.Police said officers and school staff “quickly determined there was no credibility to the treat.” “ATF and the Medina County Sheriff’s Office are at Highland High School with four teams of dogs sweeping the building,” HCSD stated at 11 a.m. “Per the Medina County Sheriff’s Office, other area educational institutions received similar phone calls this morning and they have found the threats to not be credible.”The sheriff’s office and police both stated that deputies, officers, and school staff “quickly determined there are no credible threats.
The Medina Township Police Department reported that the Medina Dispatch Center got a call from an unknown subject at 7:46 p.m. on Nov. 4 who stated that “Home Depot and Walmart have bombs in the stores and they are going to explode.
