The 16-year-old who stabbed a man in his 30s in the carpark of a Bunnings in Willetton, Perth, before being shot dead by police, had assembled a bomb and set it off in a school toilet block.
A major detail has emerged in the case of the 16-year-old who was shot dead by police after stabbing a man with his final text revealing he harboured extremist Islam ist motives.
“He had plans to interrupt an assembly in the most devastating of ways and had been able to continue to learn in a public mainstream school. One parent at the school told The Australian the teenager had “gone mad” after watching online videos and was one of several students who had converted to Islam.
Mr Cook said the teenager was in the Countering violent extremism program and the state government was “obviously well aware” of the thoughts he was harbouring.
