Bondi Hardware, a popular cocktail bar in Sydney's eastern suburbs, announced its closure on Instagram, blaming the impact of COVID-19, the cost of living crisis, and rising food and alcohol prices for the difficult decision. The owners expressed 'devastating' feelings and thanked their loyal customers for their support over the years.
Bondi Hardware , located on Hall Street in Bondi, ineastern suburbs, announced in a message on Instagram it is shutting up shop and thanked loyal customers for their patronage.
"Like many in hospitality, we've faced our share of challenges – navigating the impact of COVID, rising costs of living, and increasing prices of food, alcohol, utilities and rent," the message reads. Over the years, Bondi Hardware has hosted bottomless brunches, live music, Sunday roasts and a few weddings.Plenty of Bondi residents took to the Instagram post to mourn the loss of their local bar.
