Hundreds of employees at the collapsed Australian airline Bonza have been officially stood down without pay
More than 300 Bonza staff officially terminated without pay ahead of company statement revealing future of troubled airline
Administrators Hall Chadwick set a deadline of last Friday for potential buyers to submit offers to purchase the company, but no offers have been received.Bonza remains in voluntary administration, with administrators yet to decide if they will liquidate the company - leaving employees of the embattled airline without any indication of if or when they will be paid their overdue wages.
“The first one was trying to deal with the lessor of the aircraft, the second part was in conjunction with that, dealing with the parties and investors and 777 Partners,” Ms Vouris said. She told employees they would not receive their entitlements until the future path of the company was decided.Bonza began operations in January 2023 with a low cost model of operating a regional network mostly unserviced by the other major airlines.
