Passengers flying from East Midlands Airport can use the service
It is one of the biggest headaches when it comes to packing for a holiday abroad - attempting to squeeze all your liquids into a small, transparent plastic bag. Attempting to squeeze sun creams, toiletries and cosmetics into your hand luggage can be a real pain.
If they're not going in the hand luggage, then there is a risk of leaks in your suitcase or hold luggage - not to mention the added weight they bring. But Nottinghamshire-based retailer Boots is offering passengers what seems to be the perfect solution to the problem. The retailer is offering a Click and Collect service at 15 UK airports, including East Midlands Airport. The service also allows customers to order products of more than the usual 100ml as they are collected from the store after security.Boots advises customers to place their order online around two weeks before their flight. Shoppers are also advised to select a deliver date five days prior to their flight to allow staff to prepare their parcel.
Customers are able to order most items, including sun creams, toiletries and make-up. They are, however, a few items you can't order including sharp, pointed items such as scissors, tweezers, shavers and razor blades, nail clippers. Shoppers are also unable to buy hair dye and lightener, children's pretend weapons such as water pistols, nail varnish remover and lithium batteries. The full list of UK airports that offer the service is: Aberdeen, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Gatwick North and South, Glasgow, Heathrow , Leeds Bradford, Liverpool, London City, Luton, Newcastle, Stansted, Manchester .
