Mr Johnson served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 2020 until 2022 and was the penultimate PM of Elizabeth II’s 70-year reign. According to author Tim Shipman, the late monarch did not mince words when she discovered Mr Johnson would step down as leader of the Conservatives in July 2022.In a new book, titled 'Out', Shipman claimed the late Queen reportedly labelled Mr Johnson “an idiot” during a family gathering at Balmoral Castle just two days before she died.In a new interview for broadcaster GB News, Mr Johnson hit back at Shipman’s claim and insisted it was “highly unlikely that said that”.
"What I did was try to give a picture of what it was like to meet her and the truth about the relationship."
