Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles met with new US defence secretary Pete Hegseth on Friday to formally confirm a $795 million transaction which will make up part of the nearly $5 billion deal between the three countries. Sky News Investigations Reporter Jonathan Lea sat down with Mr Johnson as part of a special investigation into the trilateral security partnership, where the former PM assuaged fears that President Trump would unpick the AUKUS deal.
"The first payment of that has been made in the last week or so. This is something that jointly, we are going to get done."
