Both Iran and Russia are hacking voter data to 'sow chaos' during the US election, the FBI says.
US Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe said on Wednesday that Russia and Iran have both tried to interfere with the 2020 presidential election.
"This data can be used by foreign actors to attempt to communicate false information to registered voters that they hope will cause confusion, sow chaos and undermine your confidence in American democracy. Mr Ratcliffe has been under fire in recent days after getting involved in a controversial story about the supposed business dealings of presidential hopeful Joe Biden and his son Hunter.
