“The way that Jennifer and Gina immediately understood what was happening here was something that was deeply authentic,” Wachowski said. “This is great,” Bright says, “but every time there’s a sex scene, they never say anything. They never say what happens.” “All that research was rewarding in so many ways outside of source material,” Wachowski said. “We were learning about ourselves as queer people.”
