Kenneth Egano has died from injuries sustained in his fight on Manny Pacquiao's 'Blow by Blow' boxing event on Saturday night.

The 22-year-old beat Jason Facularin in an eight-round contest in Cavite, Philippines, but was unable to hear his name read out as the winner.Egano collapsed in the ring before the result was confirmed by the ring announcer and was taken from the arena. It was eventually announced that he had indeed won the fight, but by this time he was being rushed to hospital where he later lapsed into coma due to brain haemorrhage.told his staff to make sure Egano received all the medical attention he required.

He agreed to cover the medical costs for Egano's treatment and was quoted as saying: "There is nothing more precious than human life."The news was officially announced on social media by the Games and Amusements Board - the body which oversees professional sports in the Philippines.Their statement read: "The entire Games and Amusements Board agency mourns the passing of professional boxer Kenneth Egano.
