Australians can now snap up domestic airfares from just $39, with Jetstar , Virgin Australia and Qantas all unveiling Boxing Day sales.More than a million airline seats have been discounted as part of a string of Boxing Day sales from Jetstar , Qantas and Virgin Australia. Jetstar 's sale includes Sydney to Ballina Byron from $39, Newcastle to the Gold Coast from $49 and Brisbane to the Whitsunday Coast from $59.
The low-coast carrier's 48-hour sale covers a total of 90,000 discounted seats, across both domestic and international routes. Virgin Australia's sale, available until 11:59pm AEST on Sunday, features more than half a million discounted economy fares. The Brisbane-based airline's sale includes Sydney to Ballina Byron from $49, Melbourne to Launceston from $59 and Sydney to the Sunshine Coast from $75. Other discounted domestic one-way fares include Melbourne to Canberra from $89, Brisbane to Uluru from $129 and Melbourne to Perth from $209.Discounted international return economy fares include Melbourne to Queenstown from $399, Gold Coast to Bali from $499 and Sydney to Nadi from $569. 'Boxing Day is synonymous with deals - and for Virgin Australia, it's about giving our customers the freedom to explore more of Australia and beyond for less,' Virgin Australia Executive Libby Minogue said.
