Victoria's acting Premier has confirmed the Boxing Day Test and the Australian Open will go ahead with capacity crowds adding that no restrictions will impact gatherings for Christmas and the New Year.
Christmas and New Year’s Eve parties will also not be subject to social distancing restrictions or capacity limits, Mr Merlino confirmed.

“And as we do so, it’s appropriate that not only governments take prudent commonsense steps, such as our decision to continue with the wearing of masks , it’s also for individuals and families to take commonsense, prudent, personal decisions for themselves and their families.”
