A 12-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of a woman who died after being hit by a car in Sheffield

The boy, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, will appear before Sheffield Youth Court on Saturday, South Yorkshire Police said.Her family said she was a"warm, loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and a pillar of her community". Emergency crews were called to reports of a collision between a car and a woman in the Greenhill area of Sheffield at 7.10pm on Wednesday.The car at the scene of the collision in Sheffield
Ms Grant's family said her death"has already sent shockwaves through all who knew her or [were] lucky enough to be included in her orbit". "We ask for privacy at this time while further investigations are underway and the family try to come to terms with this enormous loss," they added.
