A 12-year-old boy was taken to hospital after the alleged attack on the Sunshine Coast, while a girl, also aged 12, was arrested and charged.

A 12-year-old girl has been arrested after a boy, also aged 12, was stabbed at Caloundra State High School on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. It will be alleged two other students were threatened, but not physically injured.She was allegedly found by police with a knife and had damaged a wall. Some parents said they were not notified of the incident until hours later, and when they tried to call their children they couldn't get onto them as their mobiles are locked in pouches during school hours.
"The incident will be dealt with by the school in line with our student code of conduct as appropriate," the school principal said in a statement.The 12-year-old girl has been charged with one count each of wounding, going armed so as to cause fear, and possession of a knife in a public placeShe was denied police bail and is expected to appear at Maroochydore Children's Court tomorrow.
