The stars behind one of TV’s most iconic duos are reuniting for a series of live shows. Breaking Bad stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are heading to Australia for a series of live shows together in January 2027.
Speaking exclusively to Sunrise from Dallas for their only television interview, the pair reflected on the enduring legacy of the hit series, their friendship and what fans can expect from the upcoming shows. The pair, who played Walter White and Jesse Pinkman in the iconic crime drama, will take to the stage for An Evening With Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, an in-conversation event exploring the making of the series, their careers and the friendship they formed during filming.
Breaking Bad premiered in 2008 and ran for five seasons, concluding in 2013 after 62 episodes. The series follows Walter White, a New Mexico chemistry teacher diagnosed with terminal cancer who turns to manufacturing and selling drugs in an attempt to secure his family’s financial future. The series won 16 Primetime Emmy Awards and 2 Golden Globe Awards, becoming one of the most acclaimed television dramas of its generation.
The five-city tour will kick off in Brisbane on January 15, 2027, before travelling to Perth, Melbourne and Sydney and concluding in Auckland, New Zealand, on January 28. Cranston and Paul will discuss their experiences bringing two of TV’s most memorable characters to life, including the show’s writing, production, long days on set and the moments that will never leave them.
The pair will also share insights into their lives beyond acting, including their advice for aspiring performers, their personal lives and their shared business venture, Dos Hombres mezcal. Breaking Bad was recently named the number one television show of the 21st century by The New York Times, following a vote involving more than 500 stars, showrunners and other notable figures. The tour will visit four Australian cities before heading to New Zealand. Monday, January 18, 2027, at RAC Arena. Monday, January 25, 2027, at TikTok Entertainment Centre.
