Hatate was the standout as Celtic recovered from Lazio loss with 3-1 win over Kilmarnock.
Brendan Rodgers says Reo Hatate came alive for the first time under him - after Celtic left Kilmarnock for dead.
"What he showed on Wednesday night is not . I took him through clips of the Lazio game, all without the ball. “But at that level of intensity, everything else is then natural for him. “It’s my job as a coach to help him stay there. He has set the standard now and I’m sure he’ll do everything he can to do that.”
“Players are now understanding the intensity that I want to work at. I’m really pleased, off the back of the Lazio game. The only negative for Celtic was Killie’s goal, scored by David Watson, that made it 2-1. But Rodgers is adamant that they should have had a free-kick in the build-up and doesn’t understand how VAR didn’t pick it up.
