The Hoops boss provided a deadline day update
boss Brendan Rodgers confirmed that Paulo Bernardo will be joining the club and explained why the midfielder will likely be the last signing of the transfer window.In recent days the Hoops have signed winger Luis Palma on a five-year deal and defender Nat Phillips on loan from Liverpool until January.He said:"I'm not so sure. I don't think there will be many more coming in. Again a young player that's coming in with potential and that will hopefully be confirmed.
"He comes in with the opportunity to see him and give us more strength in depth in that midfield area. We will see how he develops."Meanwhile, Celtic have reportedly rejected a bid from Italian side Torino for youth prospect Rocco Vata. The forward has been the subject of interest from a number of clubs this summer but so far Celtic have knocked back all approaches for the 18-year-old.
And the Serie A team are the latest to have a bid knocked back, according to the Daily Record who state the Hoops were offered"£550,000 with significant add-ons" for the Republic of Ireland youth international.The Lennoxtown academy graduate made a few appearances last season for the first-team after impressing with the B team.
