Brendan Rodgers forced security guards away from a young Hoops fan after a 3-0 win for Celtic over Livingston.
The excited fan made his way onto the Tony Macaroni Pitch after a good day's work for the Hoops, with a small band of security guards looking to get him off the park. But Rodgers was on hand to lend a helping hand, ushering those in luminous jackets away and guiding back into the away end. Rodgers wanted a common sense approach to the incident, telling Sky: "The wee guy at the end, it's just common sense. He's a young kid on to see his heroes.
The Hoops were dealt with a third red card in the space of a week when Joe Hart was dismissed by John Beaton in the first half for preventing a goalscoring opportunity when clattering Mo Sangare. But it didn't deter the champions as they coasted to victory, thanks to goals from Reo Hatate, Matt O'Riley and Daizen Maeda.
It puts Celtic five points clear at the top of the league ahead of the 3pm kick-offs, and seven in front of Rangers prior to their match with Motherwell on Sunday. Rodgers added: "I thought we started the game with good energy and we got up in the game. "Obviously we lose Joe but we always have a plan for hat if you go down to 10 men and how we want to work. I thought the boys were then brilliant in terms of how they took the pressure away, how they tactically moved and blocked spaces, and we are always a threat going forward. When you have Daizen Maeda in your team, you don't really have 10 men, he puts in the work-rate of two players, unbelievable effort. The boys showed outstanding resilience .
