These Cy-Fair ISD students were two of only 21 who received the scholarships this year.

The Howard Hughes Corporation® has recently awarded 21 college scholarships to local high school graduates from Bridgeland High School, Magnolia High School, Oak Ridge High School, Tomball High School, Waller High School, Willis High School, The Woodlands College Park High School, and The Woodlands High School.

As part of a decades-long tradition, The Howard Hughes Corporation awarded a total of 21 scholarships to Houston-area students. Bridgeland High School students Michael Burns and Anaya Dozier both received 2022 general scholarships.Burns will be attending Arizona State University, while Dozier will be attending Louisiana State University.

The Howard Hughes Corporation has given a total of 380 scholarships since they began doing so in the 1980s. Scholarships are dedicated to Martin Luther King, Jr., Gerald D. Irons, Sr., and other prominent historical figures.
