The 16-story, 88,306-square-foot building is to feature a luxury restaurant on the 11th floor, with a balcony. This is a downsized version of what initially was proposed.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Cleveland Landmarks Commission, in a split vote Thursday, signed off on revisions for plans for a high-rise apartment/hotel building overlooking the Flats from the west end of the Veterans Memorial Bridge.

The commission voted, 3-2, to OK the design after hearing a presentation from architect Jonathan Evans from the Mass Design Group. However, two other members, including chairwoman Julie Trott, remained weary of a building so tall at that location.
