International research suggests that between 18 per cent and 25 per cent of gifted students drop out of school prematurely. “He’s much more challenged at school and much more engaged. The way they teach at Woollahra is quite different; it’s more project-based, they go faster and get accelerated,” Ms Bennett said.
“Willow wasn’t identified as being either gifted or autistic until she was 13. She found school difficult,” Ms Bennett said.
