Mac Allister joined Brighton in January 2019 from Argentinos Juniors before being loaned back to the club for six months. He then completed another loan back to his homeland with giants Boca Juniors where he made 13 appearances.His Brighton career finally took off in 2020 when he made his debut against Wolves in the final game before the Premier League took a back seat due to the COVID-19 pandemic.This season, Mac Allister has scored five times in 14 games for Brighton and subsequently earned a spot in Scaloni’s 26-man squad.
De Zerbi will be hoping the World Cup winner can continue his impressive form upon his return as Brighton resume their impressive start to the season, their first match seeing them face Charlton in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.
