Victorian opposition leader John Pesutto has acknowledged his position is under threat, with a contest over the Liberal Party leadership possible as early as next week.
Victoria n Opposition Leader John Pesutto remains unfazed by widespread reports of an impending leadership challenge, telling reporters Liberal MPs"overwhelmingly" think the opposition is"doing well" with him as leader.
Picture: Sky News Australia The Liberal Leader said he would not call a spill to bring the issue to a head but that if anyone wanted to challenge him “they’re free to do so”. Mr Pesutto said he is confident in his support, but that he takes “nothing for granted”, adding that he would be talking to his colleagues in the lead up to next week’s party room meeting and beyond.
