Brisbane Lions football manager Danny Daly has slammed a report about an end-of-season player trip that surfaced following the Lions’ shock loss to Collingwood at the Gabba. Details about a players’ overseas trip at the end of last year suddenly hit the headlines after the match, but Daly has called the report “insensitive” and “factually incorrect”.
” It had been reported that one key player’s relationship had ended but it was unclear if that was connected to the trip Daly also made it clear there was not a crisis meetings with team leaders on Good Friday, but admitted there was a “quick” phone call and discussion with co-captains Harris Andrews and Lachie Neale. “Whatever happened on that trip wasn’t to the extent that the football club needed to know about it,” he said.
