Mo Gilligan hosted the Brits for the first time last year, and is back for 2023Glitz. Glamour. Criticism. It feels like no 2023 awards show is complete without some sort of row. "And the people that are watching it, the young kids who are like, 'Oh, I want to be like Adele or Beyoncé , or, Sam Smith,' they just want to be like their idols.Adele won artist, album and song of the year at the 2022 Brit Awards But the 34-year-old, who uses a lot of music in his routines, says he likes the fact artists are speaking out."It's nice to be part of musicians who are using their platform to have an opinion on society and life."Criticism or not, it's fair to say there will be a lot of eyes on Mo when he hits the stage."This is a big occasion for me and for so many people," Mo says.
