Joe Thwaite and his wife, Jess, who runs a hair salon in Gloucester, have gone public after scooping Britain's biggest-ever lottery win last week
Mr Thwaite revealed that he let his wife sleep in last Wednesday morning after discovering they had won.The next morning he got up as usual at 5.15am before checking his phone and seeing an email from the National Lottery saying,"Good news, you've won a prize".Lottery winners: 'It didn't feel real'"I couldn't go back to sleep, I didn't want to wake Jess up, so I just laid there for what seemed like forever.
Mrs Thwaite admitted she had been worried about going public, but said she wants to"enjoy" the prize with her friends and family. She also said she is not materialistic and that the family will have to buy suitcases because they"never go on holiday".Mr Thwaite said he wanted to take his children to a rugby game.
